Why the hotel faces west
Eventide was planned around the slow change from afternoon into evening. Public rooms and terraces are oriented towards the final light, while bedrooms use deeper reveals and curtains to remain comfortable beyond midsummer. In darker seasons, fire, reflection and warm interior lighting replace the long sunset without asking the landscape to perform in exactly the same way.
Dinner as the natural centre of the stay
The fire menu moves through a small number of dishes that can be served at an easy pace. Guests can begin outside, continue in the Main House and return to a quieter lounge without a formal sequence. Dietary requirements should be shared before arrival because the deliberately concise menu relies on preparation and a close group of suppliers.
Selecting the right house
Main House rooms are convenient and connected to the social spaces. Dusk House is quieter and strongest for west-facing views, while Shore House studios are informal and close to swimming and sauna access. All rooms follow the same sleep and housekeeping standards; the choice is about atmosphere, distance and the amount of independence wanted.
